Privacy Policy

This policy explains what AudGrade collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. We aim to collect the minimum data needed to run the Service and to be transparent about how it flows.

1. Information we collect

• Email address — provided when you sign in via magic link. We use it to authenticate you and (only if you opt in) to send job alerts and product updates.
• Search and filter preferences — such as saved searches, saved jobs, and the role/location filters you apply. Stored on your account to power saved-search alerts and personalized results.
• Applied-job clicks — when you click "Apply" on a posting we record the job and the timestamp so it appears under "Applied jobs" on your account.
• Submitted content — reviews, salary submissions, and other data you choose to contribute. Reviews are displayed without your name; salary submissions are aggregated into baselines.
• Usage and device data — server logs, IP address, browser type, referring page, and aggregated analytics events used to operate and improve the Service.

We do not knowingly collect information from children under 18.

2. How we use information

• Authentication — verifying your identity at sign-in.
• Personalization — saving your searches, jobs, and applied history.
• Job alerts and product email — only if you opt in.
• Analytics — understanding which pages, searches, and employers users find useful so we can improve them.
• Safety and moderation — investigating abuse, spam, and policy violations.

3. Service providers (data processors)

We rely on a small set of vendors to operate the Service. They process data on our behalf under contracts that limit their use to providing services to us.

• Supabase — hosts our application database and authentication system. Your account record (email, saved jobs, saved searches, submissions) is stored there.
• Resend — sends our transactional email, including magic-link sign-in messages, job alerts, and contact-form replies.

4. We do not sell your personal data

AudGrade does not sell, rent, or trade personal data to third parties for their own marketing purposes. We do not share your email with employers or recruiters unless you initiate contact with them.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies that are necessary to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences. We use aggregated, privacy-respecting analytics to count visits and understand traffic patterns. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

6. Your choices and rights

• Access and correction — you can view and edit your account information from your account page.
• Email preferences — unsubscribe links are included in every alert and product email.
• Deletion — to delete your account and associated personal data, email privacy@audgrade.com. We will confirm and complete deletion within a reasonable period, retaining only what we are legally required to keep.
• Anonymous submissions — reviews and salary submissions are published without your name. We may retain them after account deletion in de-identified form to preserve the integrity of aggregate data.

7. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards including encrypted transport (HTTPS), at-rest encryption with our hosting providers, and access controls on internal systems. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Data retention

We retain account and activity data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal obligations and resolve disputes. Logs and analytics records are retained in aggregated form.

9. International users

AudGrade is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the U.S., you understand that your information will be processed in the United States, which may have different data-protection laws than your country.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced on the Service or by email. Continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
